Tamil Nadu Class 12 Passing Marks 2025
To pass the Tamil Nadu +2 exam, students must meet the following minimum marks:
For Subjects Without Practicals:
Total Marks: 100
Passing Marks: 35 out of 100
For Subjects With Practicals:
Theory Exam (out of 70): At least 15 marks
Total Combined Marks (Theory + Practical + Internal): At least 35 out of 100
Vocational Subjects (Practicals Only):
Out of 75 Marks
Passing Marks: 20
TN HSC +2 Revaluation & Supplementary Exam 2025
After the TN Class 12 results are announced, students who feel their marks are not as expected can apply for revaluation or re totalling. The application process and dates will be shared on the official DGE Tamil Nadu website (dge.tn.gov.in) soon after the results.
For students who fail in one or two subjects, the supplementary exam (SAY – Save A Year) offers a second chance to pass in the same academic year.
There is no improvement exam for students who have already passed. Only revaluation is available for mark improvement.
