How to Calculate Your Estimated Percentage
You’ll need to enter the number of subjects you scored each grade in. The following midpoint values are used for the calculation:
Grade | Range (%) | Midpoint Used for Calculation |
---|---|---|
A+ | 90% and above | 95% |
A | 80% – 89% | 85% |
B+ | 70% – 79% | 75% |
B | 60% – 69% | 65% |
C+ | 50% – 59% | 55% |
C | 40% – 49% | 45% |
D+ | 30% – 39% | 35% |
D | 20% – 29% | 25% |
E | Below 20% | 15% |
To calculate your SSLC percentage, add the number of subjects you received each grade in, multiply each by the respective midpoint value, and divide the total by 10
The midpoint is an average value used to represent each grade’s percentage range. For example, for A+ (90% and above), the midpoint used is 95.
If you score below a D+ grade (3 points) in any subject, you must appear for the SAY (Save A Year) exam to get another chance to pass.
